This image shows the habitat of Carabus arvensis. I found a large population of Carabus arvensis in this small forest patch. Features of the habitat are a great variation in forest structure, with small open forest patches interspersed with a dense understorey. The forest held, despite being quite youg, large amounts of dead wood and the soil was rather humid.
