This picture was made just below the pass above Lake Habema, at an altitude of about 4000 metres above sea-level. On the back you can see Lake Habema and the highest Peaks of the Snow Mountains. On the back some the highest peaks of the Snow Mountains, are visible. The highest visible peak here is Gunung Trikora, 4750 metres high. It is the second highest peak of New Guinea, Puncak Jaya (4884 metres high), the highest one, is also found in the Snow Mountains. The Snow Mountains are the highest mountain range between the Himalayas and Australia.
