The species is very probably Pteropus neohibernicus, the Greater Flying Fox, but the identification has still to be checked with a specialist.
Every evening large groups of Flying Foxes were leaving their roosts in the rainforest and were flying over Jalan Korea. This evening, with a full moon, we saw hundreds of these huge bats flying over our campsite, which was a very spectacular sight.
