-
Rhipidura albolimbata

Image ID:

Date:

Location:
Camp Japan,
Arfaks,
West Papua,
Indonesia
Description:

Friendly Fantail is an omnipresent species in the Papuan mountains and hill forests. It is often one of the most inquisitive species in the mixed flocks. They often are the first (and often only) birds who come to have a close look at the 'human intruder' in their forest. This curiousness together with their conspicuous behaviour, by regularly flicking their fain-shaped tail open, make them one of the few easy birds to see.
