This is a tropical dragonlfly species from the Arfaks belonging to the Corduliidae. It is certainly a Hemicordulia or Procordulia species. According to Vincent Kalkman, a Papuan dragonfly specialist, the species is likely to be Procordulia leopoldi, but to rule other species out with certainty, the anal appendices should be visible.
