This is the subspecies 'consitus' of Carabus monilis, which is gound in the Vosgues and Jura of France. In Belgium and The Netherlands all the Carabus monilis individuals have a coppery colour, but in the East and South of France this species shows a lot of colour variation. In the Vosgues and Jura you can find coppery, as well as bright green or blue individuals.
