Zwarte Kaketoe
-
Probosciger aterrimus

Image ID:
1669
Date:
17/07/2011
Location:
Nimbokrang,
Swamp Forest,
West Papua
Description:

The Palm Cockatoo is the largest parrot species of the old world. It is a huge bird measuring from 51 to 64 centimetres, which is the size of an Osprey!
It's disproportional massive head, bill, and weird crest give it an almost prehistoric bird like look.
