Description:

Around the end of april a few bays in Norway (between Trondheim and Lauvsnes) are home to thousands of Pink-footed Geese. They rest here for a few days, on their way to their breedings grounds in Spitsbergen. We observed some ten-thousands of the geese who were foraging or sleeping on the mudflats of a bay during the low tide. Almost the entire Spitsbergen population is found in a few bays in Norway during this time of the year, which offers a great wildlife spectacle.
