Description:
When it becomes very hot and the sand reaches very high temperatures, these Tiger Beetles start hunting under the vegetation, where most of their prey tend to hide as well during the hottest parts of the day. A typical behaviour Tiger Beetles is that during the hottest parts of the day they tend to keep their body as fa as possible from the heath of the soil. This leads to nice images of fiercely posing individuals standing as high as possible on their legs.
