Description: 

Short-bearded Melidectes is one of the restricted range endemics who's range is confined to the Snow Mountains. It is not uncommon and is mostly found in in the lower parts or on the ground in alpine shrubbery or at the forest edge. It feeds on fruit, arthropods and nectar.
