Small Pratincole, Little Pratincole -
Kleine Vorkstaartplevier
-
Glareola lactea

Image ID:
2056
Date:
06/04/2008
Location:
Nameri,
Assam,
India
Description:

Small pratincoles were an omnipresent sight along the Jhia-Borelli River. They were often foraging in small flocks above the rapids, hunting for insects. When we landed with our boat on a sandy island with a lot of gravel and pebbles, there seemed to be a small colony of pratincoles on the island.
