Literature mentions that this species current status in India is uncertain (HBW alive mentions: 'few recent records, but present in Ngengpui Wildlife Sanctuary (Mizoram). Presumably a rare resident in Bangladesh, where only one recent record'. The species seems still common in West Myanmar, including in Natmautaung National Park). The species was apparently not rare in the Khonoma Hills area (Nagaland, India), where I observed several individuals (at least five) at different spots on a very short period.
