Description:
On this image one sees the habitat of the Weevil Hunting Wasps in town. These solitary wasps built their nests on a sunny place between the stones of an old footpath. The street and the houses were built around 1920-1930. At that time the use of sabulous clay between the stones was frequent, which is an ideal substrate for many bees and wasps to build their nests. These old streets are often very interesting for bees and wasps, when there are enough flowering plants at close vicinity.
